Cheapest Push Notification Services for 100k+ Subscribers (Dated Prices)

The cheapest push notification service for 100k+ subscribers: dated prices for LaraPush, Webpushr, WonderPush, OneSignal and iZooto compared.

The cheapest push notification service for 100,000 subscribers is Webpushr among monthly plans, at $49 a month on its published price list. Over a year or more, a one-time self-hosted licence such as LaraPush ($499 plus a VPS) costs less. iZooto’s Monetize plan is free, but only because ads go to your subscribers.

Once a list passes 100,000 subscribers, small price differences turn into thousands of dollars a year. So in this post I compare the cheapest push notification services at 100K, 500K and 1M web push subscribers, using only prices the vendors publish. Every price was checked on the vendor’s own page on Oct 31, 2026, excludes tax, and covers web push only.

What is the cheapest push notification service for 100,000 subscribers?

At 100,000 web push subscribers, Webpushr is the cheapest monthly plan with a published price, and a one-time licence is the cheapest over 12 months. Here’s the comparison from public price lists:

ServicePricing modelPrice at 100K subscribers12-month cost
LaraPush StartupOne-time licence, self-hosted$499 once + your VPS$499 + about $72 to $144 VPS
WebpushrSubscriber tiers$49/mo (Startup, up to 100K)$588
WonderPush€1 per 1,000 subscribersabout €100/moabout €1,200
OneSignal Growth$19/mo + $0.004 per web subscriberabout $419/moabout $5,028
iZooto MonetizeAd-supported$0$0, with ads sent to subscribers

The VPS range assumes a basic server at $6 to $12 a month. For example, a DigitalOcean Basic Droplet lists at $6 a month for 1 GiB RAM and $12 for 2 GiB (checked Oct 31, 2026). Your host and size may differ.

How much do push notifications cost at 500K and 1M subscribers?

At 500,000 and 1,000,000 subscribers, most monthly vendors either scale linearly or move you to a custom quote. That’s where the gap widens.

Service500K subscribers1M subscribers
LaraPush Startup$499 once + VPS$499 once + VPS (size the server up)
WebpushrCustom (Enterprise, 150K+)Custom (Enterprise, 150K+)
WonderPushabout €500/moabout €1,000/mo
OneSignal Growthabout $2,019/moabout $4,019/mo

Webpushr publishes tiers only up to 150,000 subscribers ($99 a month), then asks you to contact sales. So for very large lists, the published numbers favour per-1,000 pricing like WonderPush’s, or a one-time licence. For OneSignal specifically, see our OneSignal vs LaraPush comparison.

Why isn’t the cheapest headline price always cheapest?

The cheapest headline price can still cost more once you add the details. When I price a large list, I check these five things:

  1. Check what counts as a subscriber. Webpushr counts only users who can still receive push, which helps.
  2. Check per-send caps. A plan may let you collect a large list but notify only part of it per campaign.
  3. Check feature gates. Automations, API calls or extra websites can push you up a tier.
  4. Check renewals and annual discounts. PushEngage, for example, notes that renewals are at full price.
  5. Check the exit cost. If you can’t export subscribers, switching later means re-collecting them.

These details matter more than a $10 difference in the headline. For a full breakdown of pricing units, read push notification pricing models explained.

Which other services publish prices for large lists?

Several other services are popular but don’t publish a clear price at 100,000+ subscribers. So I left them out of the cost tables rather than guess:

  • PushAlert lists Platinum at $69 a month for up to 50,000 subscribers, with larger lists on an Enterprise quote (PushAlert pricing).
  • Gravitec lists Fix at $20 a month, but its page shows two notify limits for that plan (20K and 200,000). Larger lists go to Business on request (Gravitec pricing).
  • PushEngage prices by the number of active subscribers you select, so you need its quote tool.
  • iZooto‘s paid plans start at $85 a month, with higher tiers on request.

If one of these is on your shortlist, ask for a written quote at your current list size and at double it.

Is a free ad-supported plan the cheapest option?

An ad-supported plan is the cheapest in money, because you pay nothing. iZooto’s Monetize page says the plan is free, with unlimited subscribers and up to 10 notifications a day, and it sends native ads to your push audience for a revenue share.

However, the cost moves somewhere else. Your subscribers receive ads they didn’t sign up for, and that can raise unsubscribes. For a publisher who wants the revenue, it may be worth it. For a brand or store, I’d usually pay to keep the channel clean. More on that in do free push notification services send ads?.

When is self-hosted push cheapest?

Self-hosted push is cheapest when your list is large or growing and you’re comfortable running a server. The licence is a fixed cost, and the only recurring bill is hosting. That’s why the gap grows with every extra subscriber.

On the other hand, self-hosting adds work. You maintain a VPS, keep backups and handle updates. If you’d rather not, a tiered SaaS plan like Webpushr’s is the cheaper choice in time. Our guide on the actual cost of running a push notification server covers the hosting side.

How do you check a push notification price before you buy?

You check a push notification price by testing it against your own numbers, not the headline. Before I buy any plan, I run through this list:

  1. Confirm what the vendor counts: total, active or reachable subscribers, or monthly sends.
  2. Check the price at 2x your current list, because lists grow.
  3. Look for per-site, per-user or API call limits.
  4. Add tax, currency conversion and any hosting cost.
  5. Note the date you checked, since prices change.

Then compare the 3-year totals, not the first month.

Where does LaraPush fit?

LaraPush is a self-hosted web push panel sold as a one-time licence: Startup $499 and Pro $799, excluding tax (see LaraPush pricing for current prices). The licence covers one server with unlimited subscribers, campaigns and domains on it, and it sends no sponsored ads. The trade-offs are real: there’s no free plan, you run the VPS, and major version upgrades are a separate paid, optional upgrade. Installation is free, and the features page lists what each plan includes.
