How Much Does OneSignal Cost for 100k or 1M Web Push Subscribers?

OneSignal cost for 100k and 1M web push subscribers, worked out from its published Growth rates, with yearly and 3-year totals.

OneSignal costs about $419 a month for 100,000 web push subscribers and about $4,019 a month for 1 million on its Growth plan. That’s $19 a month plus $0.004 per web push subscriber, per OneSignal’s pricing page checked November 1, 2026. Annual Professional and Enterprise plans use custom volume pricing, so large senders should request a quote.

When people ask me about OneSignal cost, they usually want one number: “what will I pay at my size?” OneSignal publishes its rates, so the maths is easy once you know which fee applies. In this post I show the formula, a cost table from 10,000 to 1 million subscribers, the 3-year totals, and what changes the final bill. Rates come from the OneSignal pricing page and billing FAQ.

How does OneSignal charge for web push?

OneSignal charges for web push by subscriber, not by message. On the Growth plan, you pay a $19 monthly base fee plus $0.004 for each web push subscriber. The pricing FAQ says that for web push “we charge based on subscribers, and you get an unlimited volume of sends.”

A few billing rules shape the number:

  • Subscriber, not person: each subscribed browser counts separately, so one reader on Chrome and Firefox counts as 2.
  • Unsubscribed devices don’t count: only active web push subscriptions are billed.
  • Rounded down: billing uses increments of 10 subscribers.
  • Monthly: Growth is month-to-month and can be downgraded to Free at any time.

Mobile app push is billed differently, at $0.012 per monthly active user (MAU). Web push subscribers don’t count toward MAU.

What is the formula for OneSignal cost per subscriber?

The formula for OneSignal Growth is: monthly cost = $19 + (web push subscribers × $0.004). So every 1,000 web push subscribers adds $4 a month, or $48 a year.

That makes OneSignal cost per subscriber easy to estimate:

  1. Take your current web push subscriber count.
  2. Multiply it by $0.004.
  3. Add the $19 base fee.
  4. Multiply by 12 for a yearly figure, then add tax if it applies to you.

For example, 250,000 subscribers × $0.004 = $1,000, plus $19 = $1,019 a month.

How much does OneSignal cost for 100k or 1M subscribers?

OneSignal Growth costs about $419 a month at 100,000 web push subscribers and about $4,019 a month at 1 million. Here’s the full table, using the published Growth rates (my arithmetic, before tax):

Web push subscribersMonthly cost (USD)Yearly cost (USD)3-year cost (USD)
10,000$59$708$2,124
50,000$219$2,628$7,884
100,000$419$5,028$15,084
250,000$1,019$12,228$36,684
500,000$2,019$24,228$72,684
1,000,000$4,019$48,228$144,684

These figures assume a flat list size. In practice, a growing list costs more each month, and a list you clean regularly costs less.

Can you pay less than the Growth rate?

Possibly, on an annual plan. OneSignal says Professional and Enterprise plans run on annual contracts and “can be customized with volume-based pricing”. Those prices aren’t published, so I can’t quote them. If you have hundreds of thousands of subscribers, it’s worth asking OneSignal’s sales team for a quote before assuming the Growth rate.

There’s also the Free plan. It costs $0 but caps each web push send at 10,000 subscribers. So for a 100,000-subscriber list, Free is only workable if you send to small segments. I explain those limits in is OneSignal free for web push?.

What else affects your OneSignal bill?

Your web push subscriber count is the main driver, but a few other things add up. Here are the ones I’d check:

  • Mobile app push: $0.012 per MAU on Growth if you also have an app.
  • Email: Growth includes 20,000 free sends a month, then $1.50 per 1,000.
  • Custom Events storage: billed above your plan’s allowance, if you turn storage on.
  • Tax: prices on the pricing page are before any tax that applies in your country.

On the other hand, you can lower the bill. OneSignal’s billing FAQ notes that deleting web push subscriptions before the end of a billing cycle lowers the bill. So removing long-inactive subscribers is a direct saving.

How does OneSignal cost compare with a one-time licence?

A per-subscriber plan grows with your list, while a one-time licence doesn’t. That’s the core difference for large sites. Here’s a 3-year view at 100,000 and 1 million subscribers, using public prices checked November 1, 2026:

Option100k subscribers, 3 years1M subscribers, 3 yearsWhat’s not included
OneSignal Growthabout $15,084about $144,684Tax; custom annual pricing may differ
LaraPush Startup (self-hosted)from $499 one-timefrom $499 one-timeYour VPS cost, tax, paid major upgrades

LaraPush prices are from the LaraPush pricing page. The licence is a one-time payment, but you also pay for a VPS, and you run it yourself. Is OneSignal worth the cost?

OneSignal is worth it if you use its multichannel features, such as email, in-app messages and mobile app push, from one dashboard. You’re paying for a managed platform: no servers to run and no software upgrades to apply.

However, for a website that only sends web push to a big list, the per-subscriber fee becomes the largest line item. At 1 million subscribers, the published Growth rate is over $48,000 a year. That’s the point where I’d compare an annual quote from OneSignal with self-hosted options.

Where does LaraPush fit?

LaraPush is a self-hosted web push panel you buy once, from $499, and install on your own server. There are no subscriber or send fees, and unlimited domains run on the one licensed server. It includes segmentation, scheduling, analytics, a REST API and a free WordPress plugin. See LaraPush features.

The trade-offs matter, though. There’s no free plan, you manage the VPS, the licence covers one server, and major version upgrades are paid. Switching also means planning how subscribers move over. LaraPush offers a Migration Add-on for moving from other providers, so contact the team for details. For a direct comparison, read OneSignal vs LaraPush.

Does OneSignal charge per notification sent?
